Workshop report

Uppsala, Sweden, June 2006

The first workshop in the Nordic Network for Media, Communication and Popular Culture in Africa was held in Uppsala in June 2006, jointly at the Nordic Africa Institute and in the Department of Information Science at the University of Uppsala. Some thirty scholars and graduate students based in the Nordic countries and in African countries participated, and fifteen papers were presented and discussed.
