About the library
The library at the Nordic Africa Institute is aimed at users throughout the Nordic region. It specializes in contemporary Africa and its holdings cover the entire continent.
Borrow literature on contemporary Africa within the fields of social sciences and some arts subjects. We also have a collection of modern African fiction.
Ask by visiting, phoning or writing to us. You can also use our reference service Ask the library. We will help you to find the literature you are looking for.
Search our on-line catalogue AfricaLit and our link collection A Guide to Africa on the Internet.
Read our extensive collection of journals and newspapers. We also have a comprehensive reference library. There is reading space for up to 40 persons.
New system for book location
We have changed system for the subject shelves to Dewey + Numerus Currens from January 2010. This means that some literature has been reshelved. If you do not find what you are looking for, pls contact the librarian.
NOAK turns into AfricaLit
To clarify the content of our library catalogue, we have changed its name from NOAK to AfricaLit.
